
G stands for Graber, the Swiss coachbuilder who designed new bodies for the Alvis 3-Litre. In 1955 he produced more Alvis than any other marque. The TC108G was produced in small numbers until 1958 when the TD21 was introduced. Two prototypes were commissioned by Alvis, a white car shown on 1955 Motor Show stands and a seal grey demonstrator. Both were used as development cars. The new images below (donated by Steve Wright) show the grey car at Park Ward being stripped for examination at Park Ward:








During 1957 a cabriolet prototype was also completed by Graber and sent to the UK for evaluation. It was shown at Earls Court on stand 135 and described in The Motor of October 16th 1957. These publicity photos were produced for Alvis:
