PIC 15 – Protoype Willowbrook at Grabers

Thought previously to have been taken at Park-Ward, this location is believed to be the Graber workshop at Wichtrach. The body under construction is clearly the same style as the Willowbrook body but with wood roof pillars and the characteristic integral Graber diagonal swaged strengthening rib on the side of the scuttle (Willowbrook welded theirs on). Note the assembled front end unit behind painted and the bonnet and roof behind. Was this the Graber built prototype sent to Willowbrook partly assembled to copy for their production and subsequently to become 56003 perhaps mounted on TC108G Chassis 25932?
