For your records. The Alvis Firebird BYF324 was mine from 1962 to 1968. It was acquired by my late father Douglas in a poor state From the previous owner W.F.Styles the car was reputed to have been owned by Leon Cushman. We restored it to the condition in the picture and it performed well with a good performance.
When I required funds to finish off my racing Silver Eagle special. I sold the Firebird to 20th Century Fox Productions for the “Monte Carlo Or Bust “ production where the car featured in numerous shots. It was sold again after the production to Sweden.
I guess it’s still somewhere in Europe ? Simple fun days and a surprise to find the picture on the club site.
