Margaret Fairburn died on 13th April 2015 after a short illness at the age of 84. Our condolences to her husband Arthur, Chairman 1998-2003, and his family. Members since 1973, Arthur and Margaret were well known for attending many AOC Section Days, Tours and events including the AAT Coach Trip to Switzerland last year. She will be sorely missed by her Alvis friends. The funeral was held on Tuesday 21st April at the Borders Crematorium, Melrose attended by many Alvis owners past and present. AOC Vice Chairman Mick Fletcher represented the Club and members travelled from the South-East, East Anglia, Midland, Northern and Scottish sections to pay their respects in idyllic weather and tranquil scenery.
