Mavis having been just prepared for the “BIG DAY”. And her minder by her side, should any sticky fingers walk past etc., before placing her away under wraps for the following day.
NB: For the car badge aficionados amongst you, will notice a 1930’ 40 ‘s South African AA badge, as the bride was of Africans’ decent, and her family and outlaws, along with hangers on, from South Africa were to be at the wedding, it was felt appropriate that the badge should be displayed with pride. (It was well received, as most of them had not realise the fact they had AA in those distant days).
