This was an an opportunity to test the search facility of the now digitised AOC Bulletins to see what has been written about this unique car before. In Reader’s Write in January 1975 Bulletin 252 there is a short history of the car.

During the weekend of 21/22 June the AOC visited Pembroke Dock – the press release is here Alvis Owner Club return to Pembroke Dock. My excuse for non-attendance was a long standing commitment to arrange suitable conveyances for our Swiss friends. Since wedding photos are not normally published in the Bulletin I’m happy to include this elegant trio….

  1. Hi John, Glad to see the wedding went OK: I trust the Bentley behaved itself.

Guy and I ran into each other at Rockingham and it was good to chat to him. He seems pretty happy with his Mk6.

I continue to work hard on a friend’s 20hp; today I’m painting the petrol tank.

    All the best.

    Martin

  2. I enjoyed the Pembroke Dock Weekend with my TC21/100 dhc

Had a good drive to and from the meeting

Enjoyed Saturday with a visit to a Vine Yard and we tasted some of the wines then enjoyed lunch beside the estuary in the sunshine

Alvis day also had lots of sun

  3. Hello. I too would be very interested to get my hands on a CD. Annoyingly I was at IAD yesterday, but the children prevented me from spotting and entering the Alvis Archives tent! Please let me know what I must do!

  4. I did manage to get to the Archives room and bought a disc – but I’ve lost the password! Can you help please? Many thanks
