  1. This picture was taken at Morecambe on the promenade opposite to the former Promenade Railway Station and adjacent to the Midland Hotel. As part of the event special tests were laid out on the Promenade. Cars had already completed road sections taking in parts of north Lancashire and Westmorland.
    The Club still exists today and indeed the Coast to Coast Classic Car Run, now in its 24th year, starts from the Midland Hotel very close to where this picture was taken.
