Christoph Grohe was influential in the creation of a Graber Class at the 2022 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and four Three Litre Alvis are among the fourteen cars with Graber coachwork. Fabulous examples of Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Delahaye, Duesenburg, Packard and Voisin will compete in two classes, covering 1930-1946 and 1953-1964 on Sunday 21st August. See Graber for details.
In what was a perfect summer’s day in Lincolnshire six Three Litres took part in the Petwood Concours last Sunday.

Whose name is on the radiator badge?

The red car looks like a Raymond Mays. The famous rally/racing driver had a sad life, at a time when one didn’t advertise one’s preference for boys rather than girls.
1939 Raymond Mays. Good to see it.
Thanks. Charles B
John,
It would be great to see this posted on the AOC website news pages too! Anthony Anthony R McGarel-Groves Mob: – +44 (0) 7957-336170
Anthony, just ask the AOC webmaster to post a link to the post – this applies to any page or post you consider worthy of inclusion on the AOC website.
Good to see the Graber cars getting some attention at Pebble Beach. Are there any ugly Graber Alvises? I only ever seem to have seen beautiful ones, though with quite a bit of variation between them.
Is it true that the 2023 Pebble Beach Concours will feature an Alvis Class?
Yes, it was confirmed by Christoph Grohe.
I now understand from the Pebble Beach website that an Alvis class is no longer included for 2023.
